Benelux Chamber of Commerce Shanghai and Duan and Duan Law Firm are happy to announce the upcoming event “From Risk to Resilience: Practical Compliance Strategies under China's New Anti-Unfair Competition Law”. It will take place on December 3, from 10 AM at the offices of the Chamber.
This is a hands-on session designed to translate legal changes into actionable business practices. Mr. Andrew Zhang, Senior Partner at Duan & Duan Law Firm, will provide a step-by-step framework for reviewing and strengthening your company's defenses against unfair competition risks. Key topics will include drafting robust confidentiality and non-compete agreements, creating a system for internal reporting, conducting due diligence on third-party partners, and developing a rapid response plan for potential violations.
The event will be held in Chinese language, and a casual networking lunch will be held on premises after the seminar and Q&A.

Andrew Zhang is a Senior Partner at Duan & Duan Law Firm, specializing in corporate restructuring, compliance, and dispute resolution. With over 20 years of experience in corporate law, Andrew advises multinational companies on cross-border investments, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory risk management in China. He has provided long-term legal counsel to global clients, including Fortune 500 enterprises, helping them establish effective governance systems and navigate complex compliance challenges.
He has also led major research projects commissioned by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. In recent years, Andrew’s work has also focused on data compliance, e-commerce regulation, and practical compliance frameworks for multinational operations. He brings all this experience to this session on building corporate resilience under China’s new Anti-Unfair Competition Law.
